ABOUT US

Of course, it is no secret that we have a retention and recruitment crisis in education, like so much of the public sector (let’s not get into the why for now!). It is my personal experience of this that drives my desire to evolve both educators and the education system into the system we need it to be in the 21st century. Our children need educators who feel happy, content, motivated and excited to be at work everyday, not stressed, burnout and unhappy. We need this to ensure our children are fulfilling their potential and getting the best possible start in life.

At Education Evolve we are supporting educators to both stay in education and leave if this is what they have decided, all while advocating for an improved education system. We strive to support education professionals, leaders, teachers, nursery nurses, one to one staff, learning support assistants and support staff alike to remain in the field of education, to help make this a sustainable life choice for them. For those who have made the decision to leave education, we provide a platform for them to process, accept and navigate this difficult decision and transition. At first glance, it may appear contradictory that we support educators both to stay in the profession and to leave. However, my personal experience has highlighted the need for such a platform and network, which in fact does both!  The organisation is the platform I wish I had come across when I was trying to make staying in the classroom sustainable.

This is why at Education Evolve we support educators to do both – remain in education or leave if this is what they have chosen. We understand that most educators who transition out of the classroom wish things could be different and are not leaving because of the children, the parents, or teaching itself – they are leaving because they are disheartened with the unsustainable demands, beuraucracy of the current system and many of the factors outlined above. Often staff tell us they feel they have no other choice but to leave, and making this decision and transition is difficult, isolating, lonely and scary to say the least.  Essentially we want happy educators to stay in the classroom, but if it is right for you to leave, you deserve to feel supported without judgement. Through our group sessions, bespoke services, workshops and resources, our platform offers a safe space and a community of like minded individuals who are living a shared experience.

The lessons I have learnt along the way have given me the discipline, resilience and knowledge to help others tackle their goal of staying in education or leaving should this be the best decision for them. Ultimately, we need qualified, motivated and happy educators to stay in the classroom and deliver the best high quality teaching which our children deserve. Educators need the space to be innovative, develop diverse and anti-racist curricula and support our young people to navigate their way through the difficult times in which we live.   Through our services at Education Evolve, we meet you wherever you are at, to support you through what is undoubtedly a very difficult and testing time in education.

We are also advocating for improvements to be made to the education system as a whole, for it to be brought into the 21st century. Our children and staff deserve an education system which is representative, holistic and progressive.

It is my personal journey that drives my desire to advocate for both educators and education in the UK. At Education Evolve, we meet you wherever you are in your journey as an educator, whether you are seeking support to stay in the profession in a sustainable way, have made the difficult decision to leave, or remain undecided – YOU ARE NOT ALONE – we are here to help you navigate this.
